IM Motors might not be a household name yet, but they're rapidly gaining traction in the automotive industry. Established in 2020 as part of the SAIC Motor conglomerate, which also owns popular brand MG, IM Motors is expanding its reach across continents. The Geneva Motor Show recently showcased their two initial models – the IM LS6 SUV and L6 sedan – marking the brand's introduction into European markets.
Luxury and innovation combined
The L6 sedan doesn't just impress with its specs; it also offers luxury features like easy parking technology and a spacious interior. Fast charging capabilities are equally impressive with a peak rate of 400 kW, enabling drivers to gain approximately 249 miles of range in just 12 minutes.
Finding a charger that can deliver such power may be challenging outside of China where Huawei has developed a 600 kW station, but alternatives will be available. The L6 will offer more conventional battery options of 90 kWh and 100 kWh capacities providing up to around 478 miles (770 km) or roughly 406 miles (654 km) WLTP respectively.
